We need to integrate security into the following data stores:
· SQL Database
· Active Directory
· Custom

Is it possible with Visual Guard?

Visual Guard supports SQL Server and Oracle to store its repository. It also supports Active Directory for authentication purposes.
Visual Guard allows you to manage username/password accounts (instead of AD accounts). You can define a password policy within VG Console.
Mix-mode authentication is also possible: for instance AD accounts and username/password accounts accessing the same application.

Finally, you can use another authentication system if you want: you can authenticate the users against this solution and use Visual Guard for permissions management.
