What is offline mode? Offline mode allows users to run an application secured by Visual Guard, although the VG Repository is not accessible. User permissions are cached in an off-line store and updated when the application logs again in to the VG repository (Winforms).

Can we use Visual Guard if we do not have direct database access when running the admin console?Visual Guard provides a web admin console. It allows you to manage users, groups and roles through the Internet without a direct access to the database. You would need a direct access only during the development phase, when creating the permissions.
Where is the repository stored? We are an ISV and we would need to figure out if it will be installed on our server, on the customers' servers ?The repository is stored in the database, and the database is either on your own server or on the customers database.

We want to integrate Visual Guard .Net in our software. Do we have to install something on the customers machines?Option one: your customers do not need a way to manage end users and roles => you just install your software, nothing else. Option two: your customers need a way to manage end users and roles. - If you use the console for this, you will have to deploy the console at customer sites - If you use the API to create your own administration form, you will have only your software to install.
Our current architecture is each client has an application but we are migrating to change that for the Saas environment.
